1. In this picture, you can see that there are people living in this house.
2. The first thing i notice when i look at this picture is that their clothes are ripped and stained. This shows that they due not have a lot of money for new clothes.
7. Another detail I see is that they are barefoot. This could mean that they don't have money for shoes.
1. I think this image was created to show how the great depression really effected everyday things like having clean clothes or wearing shoes.
3. I think this image was taken during the Great Depression to be shown. For example, to be shown in a news paper.
4. I think that the people who are the audience are the people who see these like in a news paper.
1. I wonder who these people are. I would like to know if they were some what famous or if they were like your everyday neighbors.
3. I would like to know when this was taken. This is because I don't know if it was taken after or during the great depression.
4. I wonder where this was taken. I wonder this because you can't really tell because their is a house in the background.

1. In this picture, you can see what is supposed to be a cotton field.
2. The first thing I noticed was the house in the background.
5. This picture takes place in a cotton field during the Great Depression.
1. I think this picture was created to show the effect that the Great Depression had on crops and sources of other things like food.
6. I can learn that their was a very poor harvest and they probably didn't make much money.
8. If someone were to make this today, it would look different because the crops would not be dead. Their would be lots of life with fertile soil.
4. I would like to know where this is so that i could get the full impact of how bad it was.
5. I would like to know why it was like this.
6. I would like to know how this happened. What could have happened that these crops and other crops didn't grow.?

1. I see a family and their house.
3. I think this is a family of people that live in the house. Other things you can see are the tools they must have used everyday.
7. Another detail I saw was the field in the background where they were growing crops.
1. I think this picture could be by a camera crew for some sort of report for the Great Depression.
8. If someone were to take this picture today, it would be different because the house would look totally different. For example, their house would be bigger and they would be dressed fancier.
9. The things that would be the same are that they would be standing outside their how with their whole family.
1. I wonder who these people are. I would like to know this so that I could get more of an understanding of the picture.
4. I would like to know where it is because this would also give me a better understanding of the picture and how bad the Great Depression really was.
5. I wonder why they would take this photo. Also, how could it help them?

1. In this picture I see a sign for colored people.
5. It looks like it is in a city. Maybe at a doctors office.
6. In this picture i can see the sign that says colored waiting room.
1. I think tis picture was made to show that segregation was so strong that they even had separate waiting rooms.
8. If someone were to make this today, it would not say colored. This is because that would be a racial term and thats wrong in todays society.
9. The thing that would be the same is that it would still be a waiting room but for every race.
1. I wonder who took this photo.
3. I wonder when this was taken.
4. I wonder where this was taken.

1. I see a fish resturant that is reserved for colored people.
6. The words I can see are "Bryants' Place Hot Fish for colored."
7. I can see that there are only colored people in the building.
1. I think this image was made to show the separation between the colored and whites.
3. I think this was made during 1930's to show how the whites did not even want to be in the same room as them.
7. What I think is missing is more proof of segregation.
3. I wonder when this was taken. I think this was taken in the late 1930's.
4. I wonder where this was taken. I think this was taken in the south.
5. I wonder why this was taken. I think this was taken to show the segregation in the south.

1. what I see when I look at this picture is a movie theatre that is only exclusive colored theatre.
2. The first thing I noticed was the coke bottle at the top of the sign.
6. The words I noticed was that the sign says "The Gem Theatre." Also the exclusive colored theatre.
1. I think this photo was created maybe for a newspaper to show a new movie theatre.
6. I can learn that this is exclusively for colored people.
8. If this was made today, it would be different because there would be no distinguish between races in the movie theatre.
1. I wonder who took this picture. Russel Lee took the picture.
3. I wonder when they took this picture. This was taken in November, 1939.
4. I wonder where it was taken. This picture was taken in Waco, Texas.
